This is chillingly awesome addition to the traditional observation of animal behavior.

Hey Max - what did you mean by that? Can you elaborate?

I guess what I mean, on the first part; the traditional view is that animal behavior is always in the best interest of the specie's own survival. This adds a further dimension into the mix, some species may be serving as an agent for another (less obvious) specie's survival.

I wanted to add, that humans are not biologically immune to this. There is that popular mini-doc called "The American Parasite" which claims that an imbalance of innate gut bacteria that alters human health and behavior.

But since we're a talking species, our brains are also prone to memetic contamination that lead to our altered behavior and deaths; so much so, you may think of some ideas as parasitical.

"animal behavior is always in the best interest of the specie's own survival"

I didn't know that was a traditional view.

I would be interested in watching "The American Parasite".

So, I was watching intently and with interest and then this just turned into one long commercial for probiotics. I'm not saying the video is incorrect in its statement that probiotics will help, but I don't think they are the sole answer to sugar dependency. A person can't maintain a high fat, high carb, high calorie diet, take probiotics and still be healthy - I don't buy into it.

I'm glad you shared this with me. I keep hearing buzz about "gut health" and frankly, since I don't eat vegetables and have a slightly high fat diet, I will probably take probiotics in addition to my other supplements. It can't hurt, but I'm still going to shoot for low carb/low cal and some exercise.

I thought similarly, but hey, I'm into healthy and tasty foods. You should talk to, Bernadette. She's into making homemade yogurt with that Bulgarian stuff. She also uses real vanilla stocks for flavoring.
